History:
  John Amera is born in Sigma, MI. During his youth he joins a basketball team, and starts repairing small engines. When John is thirteen his father and mother are killed when a stolen armored car being chased by the police collides with their truck. He and his brother James, who is fifteen, go to live with their grandparents. Two years later John's brother James goes to the University of Sigma to study . After arriving at college James joins the Swords basketball team. James is able to get John and a couple of his friends cheap tickets to watch the last game of the season. The game is a big deal because the Swords are playing for the championship against their biggest rivals, the Star University Dragons. During the game the lead flops back and forth between the Swords and the Dragons but in the last period the Swords take the lead and manage to barely win the game with the final score being Swords 41, Dragons 39. As soon as the game is over the stadium filled with cheering and a traffic jam of people trying to leave the stadium. John and his friends go out a back way where they planned to meet with James before leaving. James meets up with them, then remembers something that he forgot and their friends say goodbye. James goes back and grabs what he forgot then James and John go out the back door into the alley behind the stadium. Some men approach them from a corner of the alley. One of the men pulls a gun on them tells them to give up their money but James refuses and the player demands the money again. James makes a move to get away and the man shoots James. The men run away after James is shot. John stops and bends over James to see how bad he is hurt then calls the police on James' cell phone. About ten minutes later the police and an ambulance arrive, James is taken to the hospital and John to the police station. After John gets out of the police station he goes to the hospital to see James. John calls his grandparents and tells them what happened and they come up to the hospital. John stays at the hospital all night and in the morning James wakes up and they have a conversation then some breakfast. James eventually recovers from the shooting but is weakened and resigns from the basketball team.
